95.3 NEWS REPORTER/ANCHOR – AFTERNOON SHOW PRODUCER

WTRC-FM / NEWSTALK 95.3 MICHIANA’S NEWS CHANNEL is looking for a News reporter/anchor & Afternoon Show Producer.  If you knock it out of the park, you could grow with an award-winning News/Talk Station!

Duties include:

• Live on-air newscasts in a variety of shifts, but primarily weekday PM Drive
• Research, write, and record newscasts and articles for on-air broadcast and publication online
• Record and edit audio for news consumption via phone, internet, and other sources
• Maintain MNC social media accounts as needed, including posting and sharing of articles, interview podcasts, etc.
• Monitor web and MNC email for stories that need covering, including social media, competitor websites, and other sources
• Book Guests and board operate a Successful afternoon show and work with the host to take the show from good to great!
• Assist afternoon show host with editing for podcast and social media posts.

Requirements:

• Adobe Audition, Wave Pad, Microsoft Word, WordPress, photography, and audio editing (not required but a plus)
• Must Have a Team team-first attitude with Willingness and ability to learn quickly and be flexible in assignments
• The perfect candidate will also have the opportunity for on-air work at 95.3 MNC’s sister stations.

• Valid Driver’s license
