Heritage WOWO Radio is looking for an immediate news anchor.

Fort Wayne, Indiana’s #1 50,000 watt news, weather, and talk station has a rare opening for a full-time news anchor/reporter.

If you’re hard working, have a dynamic personality, strong news delivery, ability to command attention through story-telling, have successful interactions with on-air partners and want to work for a station the community adores and loves, we’re looking for you.  We’re one of Indiana’s premiere news stations that will be celebrating 90 years in the community next year -- and with a 50,000 watt AM signal with a FM simulcast, we’re the most listened to station in our market.

This person needs to be available to start in August.  Responsibilities include news anchoring, reporting breaking news, attending sporting events and other paid appearances and possibly fill-in hosting duties.  An ideal candidate is energetic, efficient and capable of multi-tasking in a lively fast paced environment. This sometimes requires weekend and evening hours, both on the street and in the radio station.  WOWO is also unique because of a local TV partnership.  We simulcast 1 hour every weekday morning on our local NBC affiliate, as well as live TV traffic updates in the afternoon.  This means future candidates must be comfortable with frequent TV exposure.

You’ll also be working with one of the best crews in the business, along with a great company to back a positive environment.  To be considered, please send a resume via e-mail to Operations Manager Ryan Wrecker: wrecker@wowo.com or mail your stuff to Ryan Wrecker, WOWO Radio, 2915 Maples Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46816.  No phone calls please.
